TodayOrWait is designed so its core weather tools can be used without creating an account.

Location

If you choose “Use my location,” your browser may share approximate coordinates with the app after you grant permission. Those coordinates are used to request weather data and center the map. You can use city or postal-code search instead.

Saved locations

Saved locations are stored locally in your browser using local storage. They are not an account and are not automatically synchronized between devices.

Analytics

The app contains analytics hooks for actions such as location changes, activity opens, shares, map use and city comparisons. The production operator should configure its analytics provider and publish any additional disclosures required by that provider and applicable law before enabling analytics or advertising.

Weather requests and server logs

Forecast, air-quality, history and location-search requests are sent through the TodayOrWait server, which forwards the coordinates or search text to our weather data provider and briefly caches the answer so the same request is not repeated. Like most websites, our server keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, time and requested page) for security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting, and does not use them to build a profile of you.

Third-party providers

Map tiles and some map overlays are loaded directly from the providers identified in the app, and fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Their own privacy practices apply to requests handled by their systems.

Advertising

If advertising is enabled later, this policy should be updated with the exact advertising provider, consent controls, cookie use and regional disclosures before ads are served.
